Pop rock seems to have been the “in thing” for a while now and Cardiff’s Publicasylum prove with this mini-album that they have a good grasp on the genre whilst bringing their own unique sound.

One Track Mind has been one of my favourite ‘discoveries’ of 2011, and nobody could be more surprised than me! I’m not a huge fan of punk rock and was finding myself getting bored with what was an entirely overdone sound.

I first saw The Self Titled at Bulldog Bash where they delivered a high energy, meaty rock performance. When I was sent their EP, I was a little ambivalent about whether it would live up to their great live ability.

Now here’s something a bit different!
